Basavakalyan Voice is a Trust established on December 7, 2021, to focus on the work for all-round development of the region and bring the socio-economic and cultural issues into the national discourse on a priority basis. The Trust, headed by MS Khuba and prominent personalities from different walks of life, strives to regain the glory and grandeur of Basavakalyan through its activities and discourses

Basavakalyan is among the most backward regions of the country with Human Development Indices (HDI) below the sub-Saharan levels. Concerned with the neglect of this historical land in terms of development in the fields of health, education, agriculture, industry, and employment, the Trustees of Basavakalyan joined hands to accelerate its inclusive growth by acting as a Social and Pressure Group.

 

We are committed to dedicated work for the overall development of Basavakalyan and implementing a 20-points agenda to push the socio-economic development. ‘Basavakalyan Voice’ Development Agenda (20 Points) include Industry, Investment promotion, Special Status (371 J), Education, Irrigation, Health, Urban Infrastructure & Transport, Power, Agriculture, Food Processing, Employment & Skill Development, Empowerment of MSMEs, and Equitable Growth. We are working to create awareness about various modes of development of Kalyan Karnataka Region. In this context, an awareness campaign aims to make people aware about the benefits of 371 (J) certification and how to get the best out of it. Moreover, there are several government welfare schemes but local people are not aware of it. Some of these schemes have not been implemented properly. We highlight the gaps and empower people to take benefit of the ongoing government schemes.

 

We are also acting as a social connectors. The ‘Basavakalyan Voice’ connects people locally and outside. We connect entrepreneurs, professionals, educationalists, and government officials of Basavakalyan, working or settled in various parts of the country and the world, to their roots and urge them to help locals in every possible way. Highlighting the glory and grandeur (local history, culture and heritage) of Basavakalyan is included in the key agenda.

 

Along with the development agenda, we are taking up all measures and activities to promote historical legacy by encouraging cultural Tourism in Basavakalyan which has a history of the first parliament “Anubhava Mantapa” going back to the 12th century in Bidar District. The contribution of Lord Basavesara for laying the foundation of Democracy with “Anubhava Mantapa” which inspired people to unite for the development, progress, and welfare of the nation would be publicized globally. It has the potential to make Basavakalyan a popular historic tourist place. The ‘ Basavakalyan Voice’ has been actively soliciting views and ideas from local/outstation experts and professionals to promote tourism and overall inclusive development. With rich socio-cultural heritage- Major Sites, their current status and the number of tourists visiting these Sites annually, ‘Basavakalyan Voice’ ensures that the historical town should be equipped with all kinds of civic amenities.

 

Finally, we are above any caste, creed, community, and religious considerations and work for the inclusive development of Basavakalyan. Our main focus well-being of Locals. ------------
